The「U-start Plan」is now accepting applications ~
In order to enhance campus innovation and entrepreneurship culture, the Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education encourages universities and colleges to optimize their entrepreneurial environments. It combines the schools' incubation and counseling resources, providing youth with experimental fields and resources for entrepreneurship, and continues to promote the "U-start Plan for Innovation and Entrepreneurship" (U-start Plan). This program is divided into two phases each year.
Eligibility for Phase 1 Application(must fulfill the following conditions):
(1) Public and private universities and colleges with institutions related to incubation.
(2) At least 3 members are required, with more than 2/3 (rounded up) of the members being graduates (from the 109th to the 113th academic year, including the first semester) of domestic universities or current students (including fourth-year junior college students and above) and part-time special class students). The remaining team members may be social individuals or foreign nationals with a valid residence visa. Social individuals and foreign nationals must be between the ages of 18 (inclusive) and 35 (inclusive).
(3) The applying team and its members must not have previously received any subsidies from this program, and at the time of application, team members must not be the owners or responsible persons of any company or business.
(4) Each team member must be fully dedicated to this program during its implementation period and may not be employed elsewhere.
Phase 1 program timeline: From May 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025.

** The deadline for submissions to the NYCU IEC Center is 12:00 PM (noon) on January 10, 2025 (Friday).
Interested participants should prepare the electronic version of their team application documents before the submission deadline and email them to the following contact window, indicating participation in the '2025 U-start Plan'. The center will select and recommend the best teams.
If you are interested in applying, it is recommended that you contact the receiving window before January 8, 2025 (Wednesday), so that IEC center will assist in arranging mentorship for the business plan. However, the exact mentorship schedule will be confirmed after the submission of application documents and coordination with the mentor's availability. (The expected mentorship period is from January 14 - 22, 2025)
